FallAway, Chapter ThreeFao poked his hand curiously, changing the subject once more. "Where do the wires come from?"FallAway, Chapter Three
Ashoka tilted his head at the sudden poking, looking at his hand. "Oh...from my sleeves." He let another slip out, winding it around his arm.
The wolf tried to peer up into the other's sleeve, obviously intrigued. "You've got magic sleeves?"
"What...?" He watched the other for a moment before laughing. "No, the sleeves aren't magic, they just conceal the wires. The wires are just normal too, they just get manipulated by the magic."
Faolán blinked, sincerely surprised. "Really? That's so neat!"


FallAway, Chapter TwoThe ruins were beautiful. They spanned a large field, broken bits of stone pillars and buildings covered in years of dust and moss. On the horizon, one could only see the tops of the remaining whole pillars, the rest hidden behind the down slope of the hill they climbed to get there. The closer they got, the more was revealed, amazing Faolán more and more with every inch.FallAway, Chapter Two
He had to force himself not to get too excited. Perched on Ashoka's back was no time to start bouncing around anxiously. His tail, however, refused to cooperate with him, instead wagging so hard it brushed Ashoka's sides.
